I am an entrepreneur, bandleader and globetrotter so that I have travelled a lot. This is how I’ve developed my own highly demanding yet independent and fulfilling lifestyle. Sharing my recipes for a challenging but rewarding life with others is what I love most. Life is short so I commend fantastic places or products. However, they should be affordable, authentic, and hold a special meaning for me.Therefore I highly recommend my dreamlocation Antibes on the French Côte d’Azur.
My Dream Location is a cozy Airbnb apartment because it is located the heart of the old town of Antibes. It’s central yet peaceful so that it is a perfect spot to truly enjoy life. I’m no longer fond of days lounging on the beach. Therefore this charming little apartment offers everything you need for a comfortable stay.
It’s just a 2-minute walk to the marina Port Vauban. It only takes 2 minutes to the nearest beach and 2 minutes to the Marché Provençal. You are hungry? Then your nearest restaurant is just around the corner. Yet, it’s tucked away on a quiet, shaded side street. The building dates back to 1799, but the apartment itself was renovated in 2022, combining historical charm with modern comfort.
My Dreamlocation, an RBnB apparment right in the old town of Antibes!

My Dreamlocation Antibes is one of the most attractive towns on the Côte d’Azur:
- Picturesque Old Town (Vieil Antibes): The historic old town is a labyrinth of narrow streets, charming squares, and colorful buildings. It is home to numerous cafés, restaurants, and small boutiques that create a unique atmosphere. A highlight is the Marché Provençal, where you can purchase fresh local products.
- Fortifications and Fort Carré: Antibes boasts a rich history and is surrounded by impressive fortification walls that have protected the city for centuries. The Fort Carré, a star-shaped fortress from the 16th century, offers breathtaking views of the surroundings and the Mediterranean Sea.
- Beaches and Coastline: Antibes is home to some of the most beautiful beaches on the Côte d’Azur, including Plage de la Gravette and Plage de Ponteil. The coastline is perfect for swimming and relaxing, with crystal-clear water and fine sand.
- Cap d’Antibes: This peninsula features stunning hiking trails and luxurious villas. The “Sentier du Littoral” (coastal path) along Cap d’Antibes is a natural paradise with spectacular views of the sea and rocky cliffs.
- Picasso Museum: Antibes was a favorite destination for artists, including Pablo Picasso, who spent some time in the city. The Picasso Museum, located in the Château Grimaldi, showcases many of his works created during his stay here.
- Port Vauban Marina: One of the largest marinas in Europe, Port Vauban is a symbol of the luxurious lifestyle of the Côte d’Azur. Some of the most impressive yachts in the world are anchored here, adding a touch of glamour to the area.
This combination of natural beauty, historical significance, artistic heritage and a luxurious lifestyle makes Antibes one of the most attractive towns on the Côte d’Azur. Here is a link to Anibes travel guides in English. Plus is a link to a German language Marco Polo trip advisor of Antibes!
